Nea – A Lover Like Me

Swedish artist & songwriter Nea’s newest single, “A Lover Like Me”, is the first single to be released from her forthcoming debut album, due out in the fall of 2023. Full of fresh sounds rooted in the underlying raw undertones of ’90s-inspired grunge, and seamlessly mixed with pop aesthetics Nea has become known through her previous releases; “A Lover Like Me” is a self-love anthem that showcases Nea’s magnetic charisma and fearless grit.

“‘A Lover Like Me’ is one of those rare songs that just wrote itself,” Nea says about the release of her single. “I had a lyric idea, Daniel [producer] played some chords and 2 hours later we had the song! I love the rawness of the vocals and the vibe, that there’s an edge to it.”

Nea – A Lover Like Me

Swedish pop artist shy martin has released her highly anticipated new single, “late night thoughts”. The track showcases shy martin’s exceptional vocal abilities, as well as her innate musical talent. This latest single is a departure from her previous work and can be seen as her boldest, most openly emotional, brave, and beautiful release to date. With its powerful lyrics, emotive delivery, and expert music production, “late night thoughts” is an impressive display of shy martin’s exceptional songwriting skills.

“When I look back at my old songs, it feels like I’m looking back at the younger version of myself,” shay says about the release of her newest song. “This feels like where I am at the moment. It’s a new era, creatively. The biggest thing this process has taught me is just to enjoy it… enjoy these years, where I get to do what I love.”

MORGANA – YMi2

MORGANA’s latest release, “YMi2” is a hauntingly beautiful track that showcases the moody and melancholic style that could become a signature of hers for years. This dark pop ballad takes listeners on a journey through its eerie melody and thought-provoking lyrics, making it a standout addition to MORGANA’s strong discography to date.

Featurette – Cocaine

Toronto-based trio Featurette has released their latest electronic track “Cocaine” and it’s a beautiful masterpiece about obsessive behaviour. The dark instrumentals, led by Lexie’s haunting vocals and brooding synths add an emotional depth to the song that perfectly complements the polished and expertly executed showcasing of Featurette’s ability to create an immersive and powerful soundscape.

“I’m painting love-obsession as if it were a drug, and it’s my drug of choice,” Lexie from Featurette says about the song. ““Cocaine” is meant to capture that new, all-consuming, check-your-phone-every-three-seconds kind of love, toxic and manic as it may be; full of butterflies and nausea.”

Lusaint – Dark Horse

“Dark Horse” is the debut single from Manchester-based singer-songwriter Lusaint, and what a way to make an introduction with this powerful single that highlights her delicate voice, and its melodic blend of jazz and blues influences throughout.

“I wrote Dark Horse at a very vulnerable time in my life,” Lusaint reveals about her debut single. “It holds so much emotion lyrically and is about a past relationship that fell apart unexpectedly.”

MAUVEY – We Had The Time Of Our Lives Together (feat. Lights)

“WE HAD THE TIME OF OUR LIVES TOGETHER” sees Alt-Pop artist MAUVEY release a stunning collaboration with electro-pop artist, Lights – whom I have been a fan of since 2015 – in which the two respective artists bring together their beautiful vocals over the top of building synths, and layered instrumental beats throughout.

“Like many others, I have been a fan of Lights for years,” MAUVEY says about the collaboration with Lights. “It took a while, but I finally plucked up the courage to say hello. A couple [of] weeks later, I wrote a song that I thought Lights would be perfect for. To my absolute shock, she loved it. A couple [of] weeks after that, right before Lights’ European tour, she sent me her stunning verse and the rest is history.”

SOMOH – My Body Is A Friend

London artist SOMOH’s newest single ‘My Body Is A Friend’ is a powerhouse of emotion and energy, SOMOH says that she “wrote this song while going through a rough patch”, and that vulnerability shines through in her lyrics and voice throughout. The production is top-notch, with a catchy beat and shimmering synths that complement her powerful voice beautifully. She displays an impressive range that adds even more depth to the already emotionally charged lyrics.

“I wrote this song while going through a rough patch with how I was viewing and treating myself,” SOMOH says about her new song. “More than anything, this song is a reminder that your body does so much to carry you through each day. And for that, it deserves to be treated with the kindness and respect you’d show to a friend.”

Grace Woodroofe – Beginning

Grace’s latest pop song “Beginning” is a powerful and emotional song about the pain and trauma experienced throughout the course of a long-term relationship. The song’s instrumentals – featuring dreamy synths and delicate piano lines – create a soft and gentle sound that complements Grace’s tender and heartfelt vocals. Grace’s voice is raw, delivering her lyrics with grace and power. The production is top-notch – as was with her previous releases – highlighting the beauty of the song and message.

“When I sat down to write ‘Beginning’, I knew it was time to depict the stages that came before the anger,” Grace says about the creative process of her song. “The bargaining, denial and desperation I had to keep things going was an important phase in the story and a key part of grief.”

Holy Coves – Grey

Holy Coves is an Alternative Psych Rock band that has recently released their new single “Grey”. This is their third collaboration with Ukrainian Filmmaker Taras Merenkov for the visual representation of their music and the track showcases the band’s unique production style, blending alternative instrumentals with a heavy psychedelic influence. Holy Coves has established a reputation for their experimental approach to music and “Grey” is a prime example of this innovative style, featuring an eclectic mix of rock, psychedelic and experimental elements.

Intrepid Bloom – Above the Storm

Philadelphia-based artist Intrepid Bloom’s latest single “Above the Storm” is a psychedelic rock anthem about taking chances. The dynamic instrumentals, featuring drums, soaring guitar riffs, and trippy synths, create a soundscape that perfectly captures the feeling of overcoming fear and embracing change. The artist’s vocals are emotional, delivering the lyrics with passion. The production is top-notch as well, which showcases Intrepid Bloom’s mastery to create a fully-realised psychedelic rock sound.

“‘Above the Storm’ is a fast-paced blend of hard rock and electronic about anticipation and the split-second-moments before taking a chance…” Intrepid Bloom says about the song.
