Alison Wonderland rebuilds life in her beautiful new single “New Day”

Alison Wonderland’s newest single comes jam-packed with the announcement of her third studio album, due out for release in May. The new single is titled “New Day”, and it is a song that is used as a platform for Alison to express her feelings of falling in love with life and the potential excitement each day holds.

The song itself, which Alison wrote and produced, showcases a mix of electronic and western acoustic ambience, to create a signature cinematic soundscape that will set the stage for the album to come.

Visually, Alison’s “New Day” (directed by Pete Dons) obviously comes with inspiration from the Wild West era, in which Alison rides horseback through barrens of wilderness and terrain. Whilst she is covered by a blindfold, it is underneath where the strongest part of the song shines: in how Alison unleashed an amass of energy to create new life.

“My life was going a certain way before something pulled everything out from under me,” Alison explains on the initial inspiration of “New Day”. “It left me entirely alone, and it all happened around the same time as COVID. I felt like I had hit my rock bottom.”

Alison’s third studio album Loner serves as a rebirth for her, in which she believes that she owes it to whoever else is out there who was like she dish: “[W]ishing that they had an album like this to empower them to feel less alone and know that it’s all going to be okay one day.
