Austin’s art-pop band, Loveme, have hit the ground running with two debut singles “Promise” and “Loom.” Composed of classically trained musicians, including pianists Rae, Ernesto, and Kelly, drummer Wade with a jazz twist, and the opera vocalist Sammi, Loveme introduces a fresh chapter with these two tracks.
Recorded and mixed entirely at their home studio – a showcase to their DIY ethos, and co-produced by Font’s Anthony Laurence – the singles are a melodic expose, exploring desire and surrender. With these two songs, Loveme have crafted an immersive experience. “Promise” and “Loom” complement each other seamlessly, both sonically and emotionally.
Loveme mixes a rich sound of spoken word, atmospheric production, and vocal harmonies. The two songs are a sonic journey that showcases the band’s classically trained expertise in a contemporary setting. The hauntingly = found-footage visualiser to go with the release of “Loom” adds a visual layer to their relaease, making the listening experience truly multi-dimensional.
“What inspired us to write these songs was our ability to support each other during hard times and the ambition to create art that can evoke an emotional reaction,” says Ernesto from the band.
“Promise” and “Loom” are a showcase of Loveme’s ability to create music that resonates deeply, pushing what art-pop can achieve, with their unique blend of classical training and contemporary exploration.
