A.D.A.M. Music Project clearly had one question when making “Rampage”: what if we just made everything bigger? Featuring powerhouse vocalist Lacy, the track is a ridiculously fun blast of heavy rock inspired by Japanese Kaiju movies – giant monsters, destroyed cities and absolute chaos.
The video takes that idea even further, turning Lucy and Adam into giant monsters climbing skyscrapers, crushing tanks and generally creating the sort of situation that would make an insurance company immediately stop answering its phone. It’s knowingly over-the-top, and that’s exactly what makes it so much fun.
The lyrics are exactly as subtle as you’d expect from a song called “Rampage,” packed with smashing, crashing, fire and rubble, while the repeated hook makes everything feel relentless. It’s less about carefully unpacking every lyric and more about getting caught up in the sheer scale and energy of it all. Lucy is a huge part of why it works, as her vocals have to compete with some seriously heavy production, and rather than getting buried underneath it, she pushes straight through with a performance that feels almost theatrical.
Sometimes you just want huge guitars, a massive vocal and two people turning into giant monsters and destroying a city.
