Singer-songwriter Cassadee Pope has released the deluxe edition of her latest album, Hereditary, which marks Cassadee’s first full-length record following her return to the pop-punk roots that defined her early career. The deluxe edition of includes three new songs: “Say It Again,” “The Poet,” and “Bad Decisions,” each exploring different facets of relationships and personal growth.

Discussing the motivation behind the deluxe edition, Cassadee says that she wanted to release a deluxe version because of songs that didn’t make it on the final album. “I wanted to release a deluxe version of Hereditary because there were other songs I wrote that didn’t make the album but feel important to tell my story.” Cassadee says. “I look at these songs like bonus scenes at the end of movie credits. They help round out the story but give it a place to go.”
