FLETCHER’s “In Search Of The Antidote” explores the infinite manifestations of love

Today marks the release of FLETCHER’s eagerly awaited new album, “In Search Of The Antidote”. Following her fantastic debut LP in 2022, FLETCHER’s feature length dives deeper into her guitar-driven pop sound and exploring themes of impulse, ego, identity, and self-realisation.

In her sophomore release, FLETCHER embarks on a journey to examine love in all its infinite manifestations, using her fiercely self-aware songwriting to provide unfiltered introspection and ultra-vivid storytelling. “Over the years, I’ve looked for the antidote in so many things: women, the road, the stage, fans, spirituality and self-reflection,” FLETCHER says about her new album. “Making this album was an excavation, a deep dive where I asked myself what would truly heal me, and my ultimate realization was that love is the antidote.”

“I don’t think I’d ever really looked at love through all the different lenses and angles and discovered all its infinite manifestations. That’s what this album is about for me.” — FLETCHER

Crafted in collaboration with Jennifer Decilveo and featuring contributions from Aldae, Jon Bellion, Julia Michaels, Monsters & Strangerz, and Michael Pollack, FLETCHER’s “In Search Of The Antidote” showcases FLETCHER’s powerhouse vocals and draws inspiration from early 2000s pop rock icons. With its gorgeously jagged guitar tones and intense lyricism, one of the key songs off the album, “Pretending”, captures the exquisite ache of hiding one’s true feelings from a desired individual.

Speaking about the aforementioned song, FLETCHER reveals that it [“Pretending”] is about having a person in the back of your mind who makes you keep wondering. With its blend of longing, frustration, and surrender, the single epitomises the layered emotionality found throughout the album as a whole.

FLETCHER’s “In Search Of The Antidote” stands as a showcase of her evolution and ability to connect on a deeply personal level.
