Australian electronic group PNAU has finally released their long-awaited studio album “Hyperbolic” marking their first major release since “Changa” in 2017. “Hyperbolic” offers a fresh glimpse into the trios evolution and unparalleled dance floor sound, that is still relevant to a 2024 context.
The trio – comprised of Nick Littlemore, Peter Mayes, and Sam Littlemore – demonstrate their solid songwriting and production expertise across 12 tracks that transition from from underground raves to disco-infused sounds while maintaining their dance floor sound that fans – Eat This Music included – have come to love.
Nick offers insight into what fans can expect from “Hyperbolic,” stating, that “This will always be the LP after Changa, after the mind expansion, into the world once again seeking new champions.”
New tracks on the album include ‘All The Time’, ‘Passion Flower’, and the soulful ‘So High’ featuring fellow Australian artist Emily Wurramara. The album also features ‘The Hard Way’ with Khalid, ‘You Know What I Need’ with Troye Sivan, and ‘Stars’ with Bebe Rexha and Ozuna. Peter adds, “We’ve got a lot of new features on this album, definitely more than ever before… Working with people like Khalid is very inspiring. He’s incredible.”
Their latest single ‘Nostalgia,’ co-written with Swedish singer-songwriter KIDDO, transports listeners back to the ’90s rave. PNAU’s “Hyperbolic” is a showcase of their continued evolution as artists and their ability to find their footing in the modern context of electronic music.
