Kita Alexander’s ‘Best You Ever Had’ is the encapsulation of impulsive thoughts

Kita Alexander is gearing up to release her debut album in March 2024. Written in a burst of creativity over one month in her hometown of Byron Bay, the ten-track album is a diary that encapsulates the myriad experiences of Kita’s twenty-seven years – from the intoxicating highs of love to the challenges that life throws our way.

To coincide with the announcement, Kita has released her newest single ‘Best You Ever Had’, a vibrant declaration of impulsive thoughts and unfiltered emotions. In her own words, Kita describes the track as “the encapsulation of impulsive thoughts. When feelings throw you into fight or flight and you have irrational desires to say whatever comes to mind.” The song captures a moment of unapologetic authenticity, a glimpse into the artist’s internal dialogue that makes her feel “big and strong.”

The track, while embracing a cave-woman-like rawness, also carries a powerful message of self-empowerment. Kita’s vocals soar over a meticulously crafted production, showcasing her ability to seamlessly blend pop sensibilities with a bold and unapologetic edge. ‘Best You Ever Had’ is an anthem about moments when you need to fight back with your ego.

As part of the album, ‘Best You Ever Had’ joins forces with other stellar tracks, including a special collaboration featuring British artist LAUREL. The album also boasts introspective gems like ‘7 Minutes In Heaven‘. Today’s release of the commanding new pop single, ‘Best You Ever Had,’ adds another layer of excitement to this musical rollercoaster.

“Finding yourself in your early 20s isn’t easy,” Kita says in a candid reflection on the album. “It’s hard, whichever path you take. But I feel like I’ve been able to come into myself whilst being in such a loving and beautiful relationship.”
