Following on from the launching pad of their single, Romeo, Brighton-based four-piece, ADALIA has returned with their epic emo rock quartet anthem, “This Means War“.
The newest offering from Core, Sam, Jordan and Tom sees the band showcase more of their ever-evolving emotional, soulful side mixed in with a huge chorus that tells the inner stories of struggles – dealing with others and from within.
“We all have our demons. We all have people who actively attempt to destroy all we stand for, determined to beat out anything that makes us who we are,” the band says about their newest single’s inspiration. “Growing up we struggled to find our place, constantly trying to find a balance between who we are and who everyone told us to be. Because of that, we lost some of ourselves along the way.”
Essentially, this is the sort of song for people who won’t go silently.
“The ones believing they deserve to be at rock bottom,” the band continue. “The ones who need reminding that they are more than what [others] define them as. To those who oppress and find delight [in others’] misery, we say: This Means War.”
