The Inner West Council of New South Wales [1] (“council”) is offering up to $20,000 in funding and resourcing support for five individuals or organisations to develop and deliver live music events within the inner west of Sydney. The grants will be allocated to the five Inner West wards of Balmain, Leichhardt, Ashfield, Marrickville and Stanmore.
Expressions of Interest are now open and there is a four-week window to deliver your pitch to the Council. The program is based on the huge success of their previous Council-supported St. Anmore Music Festival, which was delivered in Stanmore by community members in 2019 and 2022, respectively.
As part of the selection criteria, the Council would like to know about the project’s proposed location, title, description, target audience and proposed budget as part of the application process. Also, the gigs must be free public-facing events that have a focus on live music and are community-led and delivered.
As part of the program, the Council’s Events team will also provide support and expertise to help guide you through the process and help set you up with invaluable knowledge on how to deliver live music projects in the future.
For the full low-down on Council wards and application details go to the Council’s website.
Expression of Interest Closes: 11:59pm Thursday 11 May
