Grouplove Announces Headlining “Rock and Roll You Won’t Save Me” Tour Across the US

Indie rock darlings Grouplove are set to hit the road once again with their newly announced “Rock and Roll You Won’t Save Me” Tour. Fresh off the success of their critically acclaimed sixth album, “I Want It All Right Now,” and after sharing massive stages with P!NK, the band is gearing up for an extensive headlining tour across the United States in 2024.

The tour announcement comes on the heels of a summer spent sharing iconic stadium stages with P!NK, coupled with sold-out pop-up shows at renowned venues like Austin’s Stubbs and Atlanta’s The Tabernacle — Grouplove’s adopted home city. The band will continue to join P!NK for the winter leg of the tour before embarking on their solo journey in 2024.

Tickets for the “Rock and Roll You Won’t Save Me” Tour go on sale this Friday, 10/13, at 10 am local time. Fans can also snag exclusive VIP packages for a premium concert experience. Indie rock singer-songwriter Bully is set to support Grouplove on all dates except Washington, DC.

The tour promises to be a sonic journey through the band’s extensive discography, featuring timeless favorites alongside tracks from their latest album. “I Want It All Right Now,” produced by Grammy-winning maestro John Congleton, has received widespread acclaim since its release earlier this year. The album explores a raw yet incandescent sound that vocalist/keyboardist Hannah Hooper dubs “resistance pop.” Hooper and Christian Zucconi, the married couple at the helm of Grouplove, channel their intense personal transformations into the album, offering listeners a kaleidoscopic collection of 11 songs filled with warmth and insight.

Informed by the experience of raising a daughter with sensory needs, “I Want It All Right Now” documents Grouplove’s shift from external exploration to profound self-discovery. Hannah reflects on this transformative journey, stating, “From the get-go, our band has been about bringing joy and a sense of safety and inclusion to people’s lives, and now we feel even more of a need to help everyone feel this very powerful love that we believe exists and that links all of us together.”

Grouplove’s music is a blend of ’90s-style indie rock and a bold leap forward, with “I Want It All Right Now” captures the ecstatic energy of their live performances while staying true to the unabashedly playful spirit that has defined the band since their 2011 debut, “Never Trust a Happy Song.” The album follows a string of successes, including their 2013 release “Spreading Rumours” and 2020’s “Healer.” Grouplove’s surprise fifth album in 2021, “This Is This,” paved the way for their latest offering, “I Want It All Right Now,” establishing them as a force to be reckoned with in both mainstream and indie music circles.

As Grouplove embarks on the “Rock and Roll You Won’t Save Me” Tour, fans can anticipate an unforgettable experience filled with infectious energy and the boundless joy that has become synonymous with the band’s name.
