It would be an understatement to say that Taylor Swift fans are not happy with Ticketmaster at the moment, as a dozen – likely more – Swifties have filed a class action lawsuit against the ticketing provider after what took place during the initial ticket sale process for Taylor’s latest series of concerts.
Lawyers have been appointed for 26 plaintiffs across 13 states in the U.S., who filed the complaint in a Los Angeles County Superior Court last Friday (papers below).
The claim alleges that Ticketmaster has a monopoly on both primary and secondary markets in the entertainment industry, and it also accuses aspects of fraudulent practices and various antitrust violations, including price discrimination and price fixing – which are all allegations at this time.
