Dads on Couches is a punk rock band from Monroe County, Michigan and they are finally ready to share their music beyond live shows and practice sessions. Today they have released their first-ever EP, After Two Years Of Grinding, All We Have Are These Measly Demos. And honestly, despite the self-deprecating title, these tracks are far from “measly.”
The band is led by brothers Christopher (vocals) and Nicholas (bass). Their sound has that classic punk bite, with big melodic hooks, sharp breakdowns, and plenty of attitude. If you’re into bands like Face to Face or Misfits, you’ll feel right at home here. True to their name, these guys don’t shy away from dad jokes and real-life dad stories. The songs cover everything from funny, everyday moments to deeper stuff like mental health and the weirdness of modern life. It’s loud, catchy, and doesn’t take itself too seriously — exactly what you want from a group of punk rock dads.
This EP is a fun, honest intro to a band that loves what they do and doesn’t mind poking fun at themselves. Let’s hope we don’t have to wait another two years for more…
