Dela Kay’s “Remedy” is a mix of playfulness and hope

Alt-pop artist Dela Kay has kicked off 2025 with the release of her latest single, “Remedy.” The track explores the complex emotions of navigating love after heartbreak, blending indie-pop with her signature alt-pop style. Written by Dela in collaboration with Nick Cozine and Whitney Fenimore, and produced by Nick and Stefano Pigliapoco, “Remedy” highlights her evolving sound while staying rooted in the distinctive style her fans adore.

The song took shape in East Nashville, a creative hotspot that Dela Kay credits for sparking the track’s vibrant energy. Reflecting on its origins, she explains that she came up with the word ‘Remedy’ as the key phrase and started building from there. “I loved the indie feel we were creating with those Lord Huron-inspired guitar loops, and we blended it with the alt-pop sound my fans know and love,” Dela says.

This fusion of indie and pop elements lends “Remedy” a fresh, dynamic energy, while maintaining the emotional depth her listeners expect. The lyrics of “Remedy” delve into the courage and vulnerability required to consider giving love another chance. According to Dela Kay, the track embodies a balance of introspection and optimism:

Dela contunues, “It’s a mix of playfulness and hope, and I can’t wait to share this new side of me with everyone.”

This theme is complemented by the track’s rich production, which marries introspective lyrics with infectious melodies, inviting listeners to find joy even in challenging moments.

Dela Kay’s “Remedy” sets the stage for an exciting year of artistic growth, with the track representing a step forward in her journey, professionally and personally, giving fans a glimpse of her expanding sound and creative ambitions. More music is expected from the artist throughout 2025, promising further exploration of her unique style.
