Mandi Crimmins’ “LOSE CONTROL” is a place for validation

Hailing from Massachusetts and now making waves in Los Angeles, Mandi Crimmins is redefining her = blend of raw vulnerability and pop themes. Mandi utilises her platform to foster a sense of belonging and understanding among people facing similar battles within the mental health community. Since relocating to Los Angeles, Mandi has honed a sound that embodies honesty and gritty authenticity.

Her latest single, “LOSE CONTROL”, emerges from the depths of a personal ordeal—surviving grooming and trafficking by someone she trusted. By sharing her story through this song, Mandi hopes to offer solace, validation, and a sense of community to others who have endured similar traumas. “I was groomed and trafficked by someone older who I thought was my friend,” Mandi reveals. “It took me nearly 7 years and a lot of therapy to accept that it happened. Because accepting it happened meant accepting that I was never in control and that I was a pawn.

“I wanted to tell my story publicly without shame, in hopes that it might bring peace, validation, and community to someone who might be struggling with the same thing.” — Mandi Crimmins

This emotional track is a bass-heavy, rock-fueled song that will guide you through its nearly four-minute runtime with emotions. “It sonically encompasses you, putting you into a trance, before the chorus really packs a punch and you’re raging again,” Mandi continues. “The bridge features lyrics word-for-word from the diary Crimmins kept at the time the trauma happened. She adds, “It made the whole piece come together and really drove home the emotion fueling it.”

The track itself is an emotional ride, combining all of those aforementioned elements together with the inclusion of Mandi’s diary excerpts in the bridge, serving to intensify the song’s emotional impact, bridging Mandi’s personal healing journey with her artistic expression.

Mandi’s music is a therapeutic tool for both the artist and her community. Through her unguarded storytelling and lyrical honesty, Mandi has created a sanctuary for shared healing and connection.
