CLYPSO’s “HOLLER” is about silencing noises within the mind

CLYPSO’s “HOLLER” signifies a fresh chapter in her musical journey – emerging as her first musical offering since 2022 – this single plunges deep into themes of conquering inner and outer critics.

“After a bit of a hiatus I’m excited to sign to Astral People/[PIAS] in what feels like a fresh era for the CLYPSO project. Even more pumped to come out of the gates with ‘HOLLER’ as my first single,” CLYPSO says about her new partnership with the Australian firms and newest single. “It all started with a chant idea I had, “Slide the weak away” which I recorded on my phone, pitched the sample down and that set the tone for the writing of the whole song. I wrote it about silencing the noise within the mind and naysayers.”

Collaborating with Wave Racer for additional production, CLYPSO has crafted an experience that surges with restless percussion, hypnotic pitched-down vocals, bass stabs, and a blend of synths. At the heart of “this song lies CLYPSO’s intricate hyperactive beats, gritty basslines, and aesthetics reminiscent of late 2000s indie electronica and new rave.

CLYPSO’s “HOLLER” embraces her style and showcases an evolved, gritty and mature artist. This track is also an exciting journey, serving as a bold statement.
