Ninajirachi explores the diverse corners of dance music in her latest EP

Fronting the pulsating wave of Australian electronic music, Ninajirachi has released her latest EP, ‘4×4’. This release not only marks a new era for Ninajirachi but also serves as a showcase of her experimental expertise within the club music scene, mixed with warmer, pop-inflicted dance music aesthetics.

In this EP, Ninajirachi takes the reins of songwriter and producer, blending influences from the early 2000s electro-house and dance-pop scenes. Ninajirachi has crafted a five-track space that resonates with the diverse sonic corners of dance music. With this release, she threads the vibrant soundscapres of her previous songs, including the ‘1×1‘ and the and one of my favourites, ‘Undo U‘.

“Making music hasn’t felt this fun and effortless for me since pre-pandemic,” Ninajirachi says about the production of her EP. “All of these songs were made in the last few months with my good friends and they were made very quickly, mostly in under a day, they’re not that serious or deep, they felt fulfilling and easy to write and produce!”

“On this release (& others to come) I’ve been pulling more and more inspiration from the dance music that changed my life as a child and getting closer to becoming the producer I dreamed of being when I first heard it.” — Ninajirachi on her EP

Collaborating with Kota Banks on ‘Kota On The Plane’, Ninajirachi delivers a hard-hitting, 150 BPM club anthem, as the track is a sonic collision of basslines and pop vocals, showcasing Nina and Kota’s consistent out-of-the-box production style.

As a bold addition, the EP features a 4×4 remix of ‘Undo U’ that elevates the original to new dancefloor heights. Also, the spotlight of ‘4×4’ shines on the glitchy terrain of ‘Wayside‘. In that track, Ninajirachi encapsulates the essence of the EP – an audacious foray into uncharted musical territories, propelled by Ninajirachi’s experience.

As a producer who has consistently pushed the boundaries of her craft, Ninajirachi continues to showcase-and-give an immersive experience that not only pays homage to her childhood inspirations but also propels herself closer to becoming one of the best producers in the industry.
