Cade Hoppe explores the detachment of reality in his latest EP, ‘Just Look at the Moon’

New York-based indie-pop artist, Cade Hoppe, has released his latest EP, ‘Just Look at the Moon.’ It’s essentially a 7-track offering that takes listeners on an emotional rollercoaster, showcasing Cade’s undeniable range in vocals, sound, and lyrical wit.

From heartfelt love songs like “Labels” and “Only Human” to profound existential reflections in “Moon” and the opening track “Fresh Start,” ‘Just Look at the Moon’ demonstrates Cade’s evolution as an artist across its over 25-minute runtime. Cade’s ability to navigate – pun intended – through different emotional landscapes speaks to the depth of his musicality.

“I managed to get much more existential with this project, for better or worse,” Cade says about the release of his EP. “The more I give to music and the pursuit of it, the more detached from reality I become, and there’s a lot of that in here.”

The EP’s richly textured sound is further elevated by a stellar lineup of musical guests and collaborators – with the likes of Rob Moose, Harper James, Bobby Hawk, and Jesse Blum – ‘Just Look at the Moon’ emerges as a guided journey from start to finish.

Building on the success of his 2021 and 2022 EPs, respectively, ‘Just Look at the Moon’ marks a significant stride in Cade’s career.
