Cassadee Pope’s ‘Wasting All These Tears (Cassadee’s Version)’ is a depiction of angst and frustration in lyrics

Akin to the fantastic work Demi Lovato did with her previous songs; the rock version, titled “Wasting All These Tears (Cassadee’s Version),” marks a full-circle moment for the artist as she returns to her pop-punk roots.

Reflecting on the significance of the song, Cassadee explains that, ‘Wasting All These Tears’ changed her life when it came out ten years ago. “It’s a song I’ll be performing for the rest of my career and one that’s managed to take on many new lives,” Cassadee says. “In my move back to my pop-punk roots, I wanted to take WATT with me. I thought who better to produce this with me than my old bandmate, Alex Lipshaw, from Hey Monday? The process was cathartic and sentimental… We truly did have the best time making this new version.”

Accompanying the release is a music video directed by Erika Rock, shot in Nashville, under the lights of the Super Blue Moon. Cassadee’s performance in the video captures the timeless essence of the track, delivering an entrancing visual experience.

Cassadee Pope is poised for a remarkable comeback, and this rock rendition serves as a precursor to her forthcoming album. The new release not only amplifies her confessional writing but also reaffirms her position as a pop-punk mainstay.
