Selin explores the feelings of separation in her newest song “LIGHTS OFF”

Selin’s new track “LIGHTS OFF” emerges as a soul-stirring journey that confronts the bittersweet reality of ending a love that was once burning bright.

One of the standout elements of “LIGHTS OFF” is Selin’s vocal delivery, where her soothing voice – beautifully rich and infused with raspy textures – lends the song a depth of emotion through each note. Selin captures the essence of watching two souls gradually drift apart, making the heart-wrenching decision to extinguish a love that no longer fits. Selin’s vocals carry the weight of the narrative, and her artistry shines through in every lyric.

“In “LIGHTS OFF”, I’ve tried to capture the feeling of watching two people slowly grow apart, realizing that the relationship doesn’t fit anymore,” Selin says about the song. “Sometimes, the mature choice is to end things rather than forcing them to continue, no matter how difficult it might be. Unfortunately in this case, I had to turn the lights off.”

The production of the song boasts a smoky pop ambiance that complements the song’s emotional narrative across its 3-minute and 28-second runtime. The subtle instrumentation supports Selin’s vocals, creating an atmosphere that is both haunting and entrancing. This song is a testament to Selin’s vision and ability to craft a sonic landscape that further elevates her ability to convey complex emotions and relationships with a poetic touch.
