Jayli Wolf – Blood Orange

Jayli Wolf makes a triumphant return with her transformative new creation, “Blood Orange”, a powerful anthem, and second track from her sophomore EP. This song is perfect for those who have endured abuse and oppression, encapsulating the resilience of the human spirit. Through its lyrics and melodies, “Blood Orange” is a journey of empowerment, urging people to find inner strength, stand against oppressors, and fearlessly share stories. Jayli Wolf’s intention was to boldly address themes of control, oppression, and societal standards, while illuminating the courage to break free, reclaim one’s narrative, and embrace healing and liberation.

AMAARA – Still

AMAARA’s new song “Still” gracefully swoops and bends, reminiscent of the ethereal sound of Cocteau Twins during their Treasure era, as she delves deep into the profound experience of living through love. AMAARA passionately explores the concept of love as a transformative journey, inviting listeners to reflect on the beauty and introspection that arise at the end of a love story, while also pondering the emotional state of the other person involved.

Ways. – Erase.

Ways. is a Metal/Post Hardcore band from Paris, France, and their new song “Erase” is about the regret of not being able to see the struggles of a loved one during a period of self-discovery.

JEEN – JUST SHADOWS

JEEN’s new song, “Just Shadows”, proves to be the perfect introduction to her upcoming ten-track album. With its quick and frantic pace, the lead single transports listeners to the sweaty, communal nights in packed underground clubs, where the band’s electrifying presence makes everyone feel like a unified entity.

Hollow Graves – High Exposure

Hollow Graves delves into the intoxicating effects of attention and fame in their thought-provoking song “High Exposure”, shedding light on the prevalent behaviour and choices influenced by the pursuit of self-publicity in today’s artist landscape.

While recognising the importance of self-promotion, the band acknowledges the temptation to deceive and conceal one’s true self to uphold a public persona, ultimately hindering personal growth and self-discovery. “High Exposure” serves as a commentary on the pitfalls of dishonesty and the impact it has on individuals within the music industry and beyond.

Bella Moore – Benny Valentine

“Benny Valentine” showcases Bella at her best: with ethereal vocals gliding over distorted guitars and resonant drums. This hauntingly beautiful and fuzzed-out track explores a encounter with the enigmatic figure, Benny Valentine. The lyrics evoke a sense of fascination with the mysterious character, while the eerie atmosphere of the song paints a vivid picture of the complexities within the captivating meeting. Grappling with attraction and resistance, Bella’s internal conflict amplifies the overall sense of uncertainty that permeates the track, creating a unique blend of nightmare and dream-like elements. Bella describes “Benny Valentine” as a love song that encapsulates a feeling of doom and eternity, emphasizing the importance of living in love rather than fear.

Mipso – The Numbers

Mipso’s latest track “The Numbers” is a splashy, 60s surf rock-inspired gem that takes a rhythmic and wry approach to critique the market-obsessed culture prevalent in American society. The band explores how the daily obsession with economic figures became a quasi-religious observance for the ruling class.

Fiddler and vocalist Libby’s experience of hearing a voter prioritise the stock market’s performance over presidential candidates led her to reflect on the disconnect between financial success and the lived experiences of ordinary people. This contemplation laid the foundation for the groovy and slick sound of the new song.
