Far Caspian explores the beauty of life amidst mortality in his new single, “The Last Remaining Light”

Far Caspian‘s new single “The Last Remaining Light” is a sentimental and personal track from his upcoming sophomore album of the same name, set to release in July through his own label. This lo-fi artist has a dreamy 90’s/00’s surf sound that he weaves into this song, capturing the feeling of inevitability with all of our own mortality through his soothing vocals on full display throughout the entirety of the over 3-minute track.

Speaking on the release of the track, Far Caspian revealed that he wrote “The Last Remaining Light” after having a nightmare that his mum passed away. The song symbolizes how much she means to him and the feeling of letting go and moving on when the time comes. It’s a beautiful and touching message that he conveys through his soothing vocals and production.

Far Caspian’s musical talent extends beyond his vocals and lyrics, as he has recorded, performed, and mixed everything himself across his EPs and debut album. He also directs his own music videos, shoots his press photos, creates his artwork, and has even started his own record label.

After a successful run of performances at SxSW and sold-out shows in Los Angeles and New York, Far Caspian is set to hit the road again across Europe, kicking off his tour in Edinburgh on September 19th and finishing in Paris on October 14th.
