London-based alt-rockers PET NEEDS have teamed up with collaborator Bridget. for their latest single “The Argument”, a furious and fiery back-and-forth about a relationship gone awry. The track is a fast-paced and highly charged punk production that features the band’s trademark frenzied instrumentals and zany sense of humour.
Frontman Johnny was inspired to write “The Argument” after playing a show with Bridget. and hearing her incredible scream. He went home and penned a furious, vicious 90-second break-up song that feels like a scene from a Shakespearean tragedy set in a pub. The accompanying playful official video was shot by Jonathan Dadds and depicts Johnny and Bridget’s disastrous dinner date.
The song is part of PET NEEDS’ second album which was produced by touring mate and punk icon Frank Turner. The album showcases the band’s more personal side, dealing with themes of fear, fatigue, adrenaline, failure, and determination. PET NEEDS’ latest offering is a record of profound psychological and musical discovery that offers a transfixing listening experience.
