il:lo’s ‘Cynnes’ is an enigmatic, peaceful electronic anthem

French electronic duo il:lo have recently announced the arrival of their brand new single “Cynnes,” taken from their upcoming debut EP set for release later this year. Composed of producers Dejan Dejado and Andreas Schütz, il:lo creates a unique blend of angular, yet airy deep house that is characterised by expansive builds and mesmerizing textures.

“Cynnes” is a slow atmospheric deep house track that features a blend of soothing pianos and soft voices. The enigmatic atmosphere in the background and the resonant synth gives the feeling of being in a subway tunnel, creating an urban cocoon in which we can evolve.

The soothing and peaceful instrumentals featured in “Cynnes” are a testament to the duo’s exceptional production skills. The track is characterised by a serene, tranquil sound that transports listeners to a calm, dreamlike state. Il:lo’s aesthetic is one of fluidity, with their music taking on a life of its own, creating a unique soundscape that is both soothing and mesmerising.

Listening to il:lo’s music is like listening to a conversation, as the duo have been working together for over a decade, spanning borders, time, and space. Andreas is in Berlin with Dejan in the south of France. The pair sends snippets and tracks back and forth until they’re happy with them. This way of working allows them to let the project breathe, and as a result, it becomes more than just the sum of its parts.
