Australian Punk Legends Frenzal Rhomb Take Aim at Addiction in New Single “Where Drug Dealers Take Their Kids”

Frenzal Rhomb, the legendary Australian punk rock band, is back with their newest single, “Where Drug Dealers Take Their Kids.” The last time Frenzal Rhomb released a record was back in 2017 – although touring heavily in the meantime – but have come back with a bang, delivering a punk rock masterpiece that is bound to resonate with their fans who have been craving more since that aforementioned record.

Frenzal’s newest song starts with a catchy guitar riff that sets the tone for the rest of the track, while the lyrics, although somewhat dark, are witty and filled with social commentary (as you’d expect from Frenzal Rhomb). While the band have been quiet over the years, they’ve clearly used the newest song to express just how they feel about modern times.

The band has always had a talent for combining punk rock with intelligent, socially relevant lyrics, and “Where Drug Dealers Take Their Kids” is no exception to that rule. The song is a commentary on the current state of the world, where families are torn apart by addiction and children are forced to grow up in environments that are far from safe.

“Where Drug Dealers Take Their Kids” is a fantastic addition to the Frenzal Rhomb catalogue, and the song is a powerful statement on the state of the world, and it is a reminder that punk rock can still be a force for social change. If you are a fan of punk music, or simply enjoy socially conscious music, then “Where Drug Dealers Take Their Kids” is definitely worth a listen.

Frenzal Rhomb has been around since 1992 – with their debut album released in 1995 – and they have been a major player in the punk rock scene ever since. The band has released numerous albums and toured extensively, both in Australia and abroad. Their music has always been characterised by a unique sound that combines punk rock with elements of metal and pop.

The band’s newest song comes off the release of their upcoming new album, with the band stating, “We’ve done a new album! Took us a while because, you know, gestures everywhere, but we did it.” This statement speaks to the challenges that the band, like many other artists, has faced during the pandemic.
