Daughter delves into self-reflection in their newest single, ‘Party’

Daughter, the atmospheric and introspective London-based trio of Elena, Igor, and Remi, are back with a new single “Party” and a new album 12-track album, “Stereo Mind Game.” The album marks their first studio release in seven years and it’s a new chapter for the band, as the single serves as a follow-up to their recently released single “Be On Your Way.”

“Party” is a powerful and introspective track that delves into the theme of self-discovery and self-acceptance. The song was inspired by Elena’s experience of giving up alcohol and coming to terms with herself. In the lyrics, Tonra reflects on her past experiences, both good and bad, and the fear of forgetting them. The track is a testament to the power of self-reflection and the importance of making peace with ourselves in order to maintain meaningful relationships with others.

The music video was directed by Tiff Pritchett and it captures the essence of the track perfectly. The video is shot in a dreamlike, nostalgic style and it perfectly reflects the mood of the song. The visuals and the music come together to create a powerful and moving experience that is sure to stay with viewers long after the video has ended.

Daughter’s music has always been known for its emotional depth and powerful lyrics, and “Stereo Mind Game” looks set to continue this tradition entirely. The album is a reflection on the human condition and the complexities of relationships, and it is sure to be a cathartic and emotional experience for listeners.

The album is set to be released in the first week of April, and will further explore themes of longing and the distances that can exist between people, both physical and emotional. The album is a new chapter for the band, and it is sure to be a deeply personal and emotional experience.
