‘Supersonic L.U.V.’ is AR/CO’s kaleidoscopic anthem full of pop melodies, incendiary elastic instruments, and psychedelic-tinged dual vocals. Following on from the release of their previous single, AR/CO have continued to deliver on their promise of taking listeners out of the routine of daily life to somewhere different altogether – more fantastical. AR/CO is Leo and Mali-Koa, and their newest single is an ode to being on cloud 9 or the honeymoon period. “Someone who makes you wanna shout about it from the rooftops,” the duo explain about their new release. “It’s set in the days after you’ve been swept off your damn feet. It’s the perfect playlist, on a perfect day, with Daft Punk playing.”
Following on from the release of “Sunset”, Caroline Polachek has officially announced the release of her newest album, due out for release in February. To get fans hooked of what is to come, Caroline has released “Welcome To My Island”, a song that sees her showcase more of what is to come: a voice full of lyrical wit and anthemic hooks throughout. The chorus of the song itself, “Desire, I Want To Turn Into You” is about the obsessive, unhinged edge between maniacal ego and headless euphoria; Valentine’s day will be hitting differently in 2023.

This song comes about after four years ago, Virginia to Vegas came across noelle’s cover of his song “Selfish” on Instagram. “I’ve looked up to him for such a long time so it’s super surreal to be featuring him on “Daydreaming” which came together in one of those magical ways,” noelle explains. ‘This summer I was driving around on a golf cart, and the melody and chorus just came to me out of nowhere.”
‘Wake up so Confused’ is a very personal song for Lotte that takes a deep dive into her own psychology through her lyrics and underlying delicate instruments spread out across this over 3-minute ode to exploring weaknesses.
I can’t help back keep going back to Memphis LK’s 2019 single ‘Speak Honestly‘, mostly because I truly think it is a beautiful song. However, this past week, the Melbourne-based artist has announced her upcoming new EP, and also released a taste of it with hew newest single ‘Coffee’, which somewhat kicks off a new era of what she wants to say as an artist.

Emily Breeze is a Bristol-based noir pop artist and she has returned with one of her best singles to date: a fantastic late 70’s CBGB’S inspired new wave anthem that sees her give listeners a glimpse of what is to come off her record, due out for release early 2023.
Following on from the release of the album’s first single ‘Confessions of an Ageing Party Girl‘, Emily has used the second offering to export her reflection on a love song to nights spent in the local pub where you swing by for a quick pint after work.

Verra Cruz is a British alternative rock band that isn’t afraid to sing out about injustice in the world through their stylish, laidback rock aesthetics, and soothing shared vocals. In fact, their newest single “The World Is Crashing In” is a heartfelt ode to love, loss and raw emotion.
‘“The World Is Crashing In” was written during the painful season of Henry’s divorce,’ Marc from Verra Cruze reveals about the creative process of the single. ‘For me, it brought up painful memories from my own childhood. The second verse was written from a time in my own childhood. Our family home had been flooded due to a burst pipe, it wrecked so much stuff including my mum’s wedding dress that she had kept. It seemed like a dark and apt metaphor for the impending carnage of what was to come.’
Jess Kallen’s newest single “A Garden Bed of Thistle Weeds,” is the 26-year-old guitarist at her best: offering a glimpse into the raw emotion – lyrically and instrumentally – of Jess’ calming, delicate world of music as she tells the story of engrossed introspection.
“My dad was always strumming a guitar around the house,” they recall. “He’s a metalhead, a total San Francisco misfit. I wanted to be exactly like him.”
Otra is a sister duo out and ‘Repercussion Concussion’ is the newest taste of their debut album, which sees the California natives weaving and wandering erratically through a fogfest of hypnagogic synths, chaotic clarinets, haunting vocal stacks, crunchy guitars, and polyrhythmic earth.
‘Teddy’s Song’ is a chilled and relaxing song, lyrically and instrumentally – actually, the overall aesthetic of the song is just calming. However, in saying that though, the song itself is actually about a sense of togetherness.
“Teddy is my uncle who was very handsome and very gentle and very loved,” Patrick O’Laoghaire of I Have A Tribe reveals about the song. “He had working sheepdogs called Cap and Prince and Sylvie and they always listened to him. Teddy is also the name of my dog, a sheepdog who wandered in the gate one day and stayed.”
