Bad Bad Hats announce the 10th Anniversary Edition of It Hurts EP and share remastered “Super America”

I first discovered Bad Bad Hats back in 2018 when I come across the indie band’s single “Shame“, which was off their 2015 EP ‘Psychic Reader‘. Ever since all those years ago, I have always tried to keep a tab on the band and feature them on Eat This Music in some capacity – covering their music as recently as 2021.

In saying that though, this post is actually about the announcement of the Minneapolis band’s 10th-anniversary edition of ‘It Hurts‘ (including demos of all 5 songs), which originally came out in 2013, and also the release of a remastered version of their single “Super America“.

I feel like “Shame” summed up the four-piece perfectly all of those years ago, however, it isn’t hard to see why they are upon the 10th anniversary of one of their pieces of music. While the band are able to easily apply simplicity to their music, it’s the pairing of pop hooks with classic indie sounds, that adds to their unique combination of up-beat and heartfelt songwriting.

You can listen to the original EP below:

Bad Bad Hats’ It Hurts (10th Anniversary Edition) is due out January 27, 2023 via Bad Bad Hats/Afternoon Records.
