Bealby Point touch on over-complicated thoughts in their new song ‘Say It Anyway’

Bealby Point is an alternative four-piece out of Vancouver and ‘Say It Anyway’ is the first taste of what is to come off their sophomore EP, due out for release during the Canadian summer.

Coming off the release of the aforementioned sophomore EP, ‘Fridays’, Bealby Point’s newest song ‘Say It Anyway’ is the type of song that doesn’t throw its story right in your face immediately, in fact, it is the type of song that spreads its overarching theme throughout singer Jack’s gritty vocals and the underlying instrumentals of the song’s 3-minute runtime.

“The verses and pre-choruses are melancholic and reference over contemplated thoughts,” Jack says about the song. “When the chorus comes around, these thoughts are dismissed and overpowered by an attitude shift culminating in the prose ‘I don’t really care about this. Like anyone, I’m trying my best.’”

It is easy to see how you can get lost in Bealby Point’s world – and that isn’t a bad thing – because sometimes it is just about sitting back and enjoying the beauty of someone’s art; which is the feeling taken away from this song and its articulate landscape of sound. Dig in and enjoy.
