Gus Englehorn explores uninvited recurring irrational thoughts in his new song ‘Tarantula’

Gus Englehorn is a singer-songwriter out of Canada and he has a new album coming out in April, which offers 10 songs in the world of his Dungeon Master sophomore release.

Coming off the release of the album is his brand new single ‘Tarantula‘, a fun and gritty song about uninvited recurring irrational thoughts and fears.

“I decided to make a little fable where a tarantula is whispering bad things into your ear,” Gus says about the song. “Most of the time I have to use a lot of words to get my point across, so I was particularly pleased with this one because there are only 15 words in it.”

Whilst there are a lot of highlights of the song, the underlying instrumentals, and slow-building of its consistent, recurring structure works well to emphasise the song’s very own title.
