Nicole Millar takes you through a guided tour of rawness and expressive emotion in her new EP ‘Are You Kidding?’

Nicole Millar has just dropped her highly anticipated EP ‘Are You Kidding?’ and it’s safe to say that she’s taken the music world by storm. This 7-track release showcases a bold and raw direction for the artist, touching on a storyline of expressive emotion that takes the listener on a rollercoaster of highs and lows.

From the get-go, it’s clear that Nicole is at her most centered and truthful in this EP, commanding a breathtaking style of transparency in each and every song. The creation of this EP was no small feat, as Nicole had to navigate the challenges of writing and recording during the Covid-19 pandemic. “Writing this EP was really fun and a little challenging at times,” Nicole reveals. “Covid threw a curveball and I had to think of new ways to write all of the songs on the EP.” But despite the obstacles, Nicole managed to craft a beautiful and diverse collection of songs, all written from the comfort of her Sydney home.

In this EP, Nicole explores themes of heartbreak and sass, offering a multifaceted take on the ups and downs of life and love. Each track is a delicious serving of emotion, with standout cuts like ‘Bored!’ and ‘Favours’ leaving the listener feeling satisfied and eager for more.
