‘You So Done’ by Noga Erez

What else can I say about Tel-Aviv-based artist Noga Erez that I haven’t said previously here, here, here and on the radio many times? Well, following on from the release of “VIEWS” earlier this year – which is my favourite song of the year so far – I guess there is still a lot to say because today Noga Erez has released a fresh taste of what is to come off her second album with “You So Done”, a glitchy alternative track that tells the story of rejection, toxic and emotionally violent relationships, and ones own inner violence.

Speaking on the song, Noga explains that at some point, exactly one year ago, she started flashing back to one of the darkest times in her life. “I was young,” she explains, “incredibly confused and lonely…” In fact, there was a moment during that period where Noga was actually so weak, insecure and in need of love that she was not able to step out of what she knew now to be an emotionally abusive relationship.”

“It really, truly means the world to me to give this song to you,” Noga expresses. “I hope this story can help some of you to realise that you are not alone.” Noga really does hope to make it clear that even the darkest places are not impossible to free yourself from. “They are eventually an opportunity to learn, grow and to become a stronger person,” Noga concludes.

Noga Erez’s ‘You So Done’ is now out through City Slang.
