Today’s delicious song of the day comes from Brooklyn-based Ela Minus, an artist I first discovered back in April when she released her single ‘They Told Us It Was Hard, But They Were Wrong‘.
Ela’s new single, ‘megapunk‘ is on the same wavelength as her previous single, however, this new one is more beat-driven, featuring an array of shifting instrumentals with techno, a thumping drum beat, and Ela’s glorious vocals.
Speaking on the release of the single, Ela explains that when she wrote this song last year, she was worried it would lose context if it was not released immediately. “I could not have been more wrong,” she continues. “This is the perfect time to put this out. We have to keep going. Ánimo y fuerza.”
Ela’s new single is a beaut and definitely my favourite Ela Minus single to date. I hope you like it as much as I do! I haven’t been this into an electronic artist since coming across artists like Selci and Tina Says! Enjoy.
