DOOLIE dives deep into the story of thought in her new single ‘Dark Waters’

DOOLIE is a pop artist out of Brisbane, and such a great artist that Eat This Music has been covering her music ever since the release of “Pristine” back in 2016. And if DOOLIE’s forthcoming mixtape is anything to go by, DOOLIE’s music will be covered for years to come.

However, before I continue to reminisce about how much I like DOOLIE’s music, it is best to just get to the point of this post – DOOLIE has returned with a brand new single and taste of what is to come off her forthcoming debut mixtape, “I hope you like my mixtape“, with the release of “Dark Waters“.

Out now through the folks at Sydney record label etcetc, DOOLIE’s ‘Dark Waters’ is a pop anthem that DOOLIE wanted to make so she could essentially emphasise an analogy, kinda like a phoenix rising from the ashes; an empowering anthem about caring about yourself, and not caring too much about what others think.

Going deeper into the story of the single DOOLIE adds that the single also touches on not caring about someone else’s thoughts and speaking her truth; finally letting her feelings and her emotions are her priority and have their own light. It doesn’t matter how much you care about someone if you are not taking care of yourself first at the end of the day. Caring about yourself first is the main priority.

Working with the likes of Kilter, Moonbase, GXNXVS, Cam Nacson, ALIUS, Paces and POOLCLVB, on the release of her forthcoming mixtape, due out for release May 8, DOOLIE has put to use all her previous experiences into a body of work that reflects on her continuous upward spiral within the music scene.
