What I’ve Been Listening To: Elle Winter

New York native Elle Winter’s debut EP “Yeah, No.” recently came out, however, before you listen to the EP, get to know which type of artist inspires Elle Winter and why.

In the latest edition of “What I’ve Been Listening To”, Elle Winter explains why she is a fan of Lauv’s new album, which she would have liked to feature on, why she continues to make music, and more.

What is on your “Must Listen To” list and why?

My “Must Listen To” list right now consists of Lauv’s new album, particularly the song “Invisible Things,” “I Love Me” from Demi Lovato, and “Where Am I At” from MAX.

What are your guilty pleasure songs?

Haha, I love so much music and appreciate all types and genres of music– so I wouldn’t describe any as a guilty pleasure! I respect any artist who publishes their work.

Which song would you have liked to feature on?

“What Lovers Do” by Maroon 5 and SZA!

Which song of yours would you recommend to a first-time listener and why?

I would recommend listening to my lead single “Yeah, No.” I feel like it blends all the aspects of music I love. It is organic but also has rhythmic and EDM influences. It is melodic but also tells a story through its lyrics.

What keeps you making music?

Knowing that people listen and connect with my music motivates and inspires me to continue writing and recording new music that tells my stories while being honest and open. If I can touch others with my music I know I have done something worthwhile with my life.
