Julia Wolf Launches Fundraiser Campaign With Women’s Reproductive Rights Assistance Project (WRRAP)

Julia Wolf has joined forces with the national nonprofit Women’s Reproductive Rights Assistance Project (WRRAP) to launch a social media campaign as a fundraiser for the organization.

Through this campaign, Julia has launched a fan video for “Get Off My” featuring advocates such as Paxton Smith—who famously went viral when utilizing her platform as valedictorian to speak out for abortion rights—Criminal Minds actress Kirsten Vangsness, and musician Evan Giia.

“As an activist and a fellow musician, I’m thrilled to see folks in the industry use their art as a platform for human rights advocacy. It’s a bold move and a needed one at that,” said Paxton Smith, WRRAP’s Board Member.

“It’s more important now than ever that we come together to fight for women’s rights,” Julia shares. “Freedom of choice is being, not so quietly, ripped away from each of us. If we’re no longer allowed to control our most private choices – we are creating a world filled with fear and anger. This is a testing ground to see what they can get away with – let’s not give them a reason to think they can move on other people’s rights as well.”

It has never been more crucial to have a voice and advocate for women’s rights, and “Get Off My” is for all who feel marginalized by the old-school patriarchy. For every view of the montage video, a donation will be made to WRRAP. It’s an innovative new way for fans and viewers to use social media in a positive way and become an active advocate for a woman’s right to choose.

“Julia Wolf recognizes the important role artists play in amplifying awareness and raising funds for WRRAP, the largest national independent non-profit abortion fund supporting patients from coast to coast,” says Sylvia Ghazarian, Executive Director of WRRAP. “WRRAP commends Julia and all fans and viewers for standing strong with us as we continue to fight to end stigma, resist oppression and use our collective power. The money raised will not only impact lives but continue to save lives.”
