“[The] Last time I spoke to you it was still a pandemic setting I believe,” Mango reminisces about a now-deleted interview with Eat This Music from 2020. “Well, the new Mango found herself again even though she somehow feels crazier than before after everything she’s been through, but hum, I have a manager, a good team, huge projects coming up for 2022 and even 2023.
Mango in Euphoria’s new single “Goddess” is technically a re-introduction of who the London native is – as an artist and as a person. “I am so happy, this is the beginning of an amazing adventure,” she tells Eat This Music. “We shot the [above] music video in a cold warehouse from 7 am and I came back home at 2 am, it was intense but, I love doing it. Can’t wait for the next one.”
The newest song out of Mango’s camp was originally written at the start of 2021 after a very tough time for the artist. In fact, at that time, Mango felt she was purging the poison – through her writing. Whilst the creative process of the song wasn’t far from our she worked on previous material, she happen to meet Luke from The Struts during the process, and recorded the first DIY version of the song not knowing that later in the year she would be picked up by a team and be able to have a good product and be able to have a relaunch.
If you came to the conclusion at the end of the song feeling angry or got a sense that Mango was angry, then you’d be right. “I think I’m glad that the song sounds angry because this is really what the song was meant to sound like I believe,” she says about the intention of the song. “And I had to share that anger and be real.”
Although, with everything Mango and her team had done for this song, it was also a confirmation that she is not a patient person at all. Mango is the type of person that wants everything right now, with a feeling that she is always in a rush in life.

“The song is about celebrating myself after confronting months of pain or gaslight, from a toxic relationship to a sneaky ‘artist’ copying my branding and stealing my story,” Mango says about the real-life inspiration for her new song. “I’m still here, no matter what you put me through and try to reverse the situation (bitch).”
The chorus of the song low-key defines the above by saying ‘Hey, I belong in the spotlight, and it’s going to be like this anyway, so, fuck you (and good luck?)’, but it would be a lie to say the song is only about that notion.
Mango clarifies, “Celebrating yourself is important anyways. I’m a loud girl who’s never going to shut up. I also want to be able to go out with uncovered breasts if I want to. I’m pansexual so you gotta fuck with all my colours or leave me alone.”
The structure of the song changed a little from its original creation, however, the final version captured the message in the same way: it embodies Mango’s anger, her rebirth, and her power. Furthermore, the song is more electronic and edgy for sure and less indie and no fuzzy guitars this time around.
“I’m my own modern Persephone [laughs],” Mango says. “One year later, we give it justice with a neat production.”
With this song, Mango hopes people grab life by the proverbial balls, and strive for greatness. “As I said before, this is pretty much a ‘take no shit’ song, so, fuck off people who hurt you and keep trying to hurt you, fuck off people who don’t accept who you are as you are, and fuck yes you’re a powerful human being and you have the right to be on this earth just like everybody else has the same right to be here,” Mango emphasises.
“So don’t be afraid to have sharp teeth and go for what you really want to achieve, because, no matter what settings you were born in, this is your fucking life and you only have one, so take it all (but don’t steal shit from others and do things for yourself okay?).” — Mango In Euphoria
The remainder of 2022 looks to be a better time than any for the re-debut of Mango In Euphoria, and as touched on above, strive for greatness. Coming next for the artist is a new single – although, she hasn’t mentioned anything publicly as of this writing. “All I can say for now is that the title is ‘Ghost” and it talks about falling in love with the wrong person,” Mango reveals. “It’s an awful love song, not that my song is awful, but every time I perform or sing this one, I just feel like my heart is bleeding and I want to puke.”
