XYLØ is a pop artist out of California and today sees the release of the Los Angeles-based artist’s brand new single ‘I Don’t Want To See You Anymore‘; sending a strong message to herself in a “cry for help in this episode of Black Mirror I call my life,” explains XYLØ.
“It used to be easy to avoid someone. All you had to do was not pick up the phone or answer the front door. Now that’s impossible when you have a window to the world in your pocket.”
Going into detail about the aesthetics of the single, XYLØ continues with how “it feels like no matter how hard you try to forget about someone youre only a Tweet, a tag or an Instagram post away from being reminded that they very much exist.”
Coming off the releases of ‘Don’t Panic‘ and ‘Heaven Only Knows‘ over the past four months, XYLØ has returned with a strong anthem that not only touches on a multiple subjects at the same time, but also a much more dark, brooding atmosphere and structure than her predecessors.
Whether this leads to a forthcoming EP or not, I am looking forward to hearing more from XYLØ.
