Hide Your Eyes are a five-piece out of Hereford, England and today sees the release of Steve, Dom, Mike, Ryan and Asa’s new single and music video, “One More“, a song that essentially explores the notion of having one more – which will evidently lead to another, and another, and another – per se.

With a couple of weeks left to go until the release of Hide Your Eyes’ EP “Last Orders“, the Hereford five-piece explain how their “friend Marcos Spalding, who wrote and directed the [music] video, described ‘One More’ as an ‘embodiment of contrapuntal self-deprecation’”, which in itself is a way “of saying ‘it sounds happy but is proper sad’.”

“On face value it’s quite an upbeat and nonchalant song about getting stroppy-drunk and refusing to go home when they’ve called last orders, but lyrically leans towards break ups, living with low self esteem, substance abuse/addiction and the various emotions that tie in with being in that kind of place.”

The tasty thing about this pop-punk pub anthem is the basic pop-punk vibes and gritty vocals from Steve and Dom, mixing a solid blend of guiding instrumentals through what is essentially a journey in itself. I recommend having seconds as its a lot to take in the first time around.
