Jarface are a post-grunge band out of Melbourne and with one day to go til the release of their debut album (December 8), today the four-piece have released a music video for one of the singles off the album titled ‘Absolution‘, which is a song about “tracing the beginning and first meeting of a future couple.”
Speaking on Aboslution, Jarface‘s guitarist and vocalist, Matty James, notes how “Absolution was written after meeting my partner on a late night out at a Smith Street bar.”
“I was there after we’d played a show at another venue and I remember spending most of the night trying to convince her I was actually in a band.”
To coincide with the music video, Jarface spoke about their forthcoming debut album, ‘Now They See‘, which is an album that consisted of “three years of writing, and six months of recording, mixing and mastering,” with the band adding how “it seemed fitting that a debut album which felt like forever to complete should have the title ‘Now They See’, but just every other aspect of our music; it’s open to interpretation.”
To celebrate the release of the album, Jarface are heading out on the road for a nine show tour which will see them travel from Melbourne to Sydney and Albury – those dates are below.
