Back in April, Jack The Envious released the first taste of their forthcoming second EP. Since then, the London-based three-piece have been working hard on the EP and taking the time to work on a music video.
‘Guilty’ is essentially a single that focuses on politics. According to the band, the influence of the song strongly comes from their background. “Back home, such subjects revolved around us on a daily basis. Yet it’s all over the world that people with power use it, some for good, some for bad.”
“We got to a certain point where there are so many problems, and no one takes the responsibility, leaving everything in the air. We aren’t judging, but we just wanted to say what we saw, and make a statement that we’re not a part of it. You can take a listen and draw your own conclusion.”
This new four minute (exactly) music video is for their new single ‘Guilty’, which is another taste of their second EP, ‘In Your Own Way’ – due out for release on 14 July. Bringing back more of what fans have come to like about the band, this new single offers more of that catchy choruses, heavy riffs and energetic work showcases in their first taste of the record.
Jack The Envious are playing their first UK headline show on the 5th of July at the Black Heart in Camden.
