Sydney alternative artist Jack River has returned with a follow-up to her previous single Fool’s Gold, with ‘Fault Line‘, a song that essentially explores – as Jack puts it – “the dark fragility of walking around your mind in the dark.”

Speaking on the creation of the single, Jack River explains how she “was deep in a really dark time” in her world,” and show she wanted to capture “exploding into emotion and regret” as well.

“I felt this need to lean into some kind of teenage dream to dstract myself from the sadness of it all.”

Jack River‘s ‘Fault Line‘ feels like an ode to Rush, however, it is more than a story about two former lovers with a fandom for speed racing, it is a platform for Jack River to showcase how good Jack River is an artist, not just as a storyteller, but as a curator of music.
