LÂLKA is an Australian artist I have been following for years. In fact, I have been a fan of LALKA ever since coming across her singles in 2016 when she went by her previous moniker Quintessential Doll, however, as LÂLKA, I have been a fan since ‘Dare You To Love Me‘, from August 2017.

Today, along with her newest single, ‘Angel/Jezebel‘, the Brisbane-based electronic artist has announced the release of her debut EP ‘The Way Music Looks‘, due out for release March 17. To get fans excited for the release, LÂLKA has given away the first single (chronologically) from the EP – after having already released ‘Atomic Blonde‘ with BRUX earlier in 2021.

For LÂLKA, though, ‘Angel/Jezebel’ (co-written with Ninajirachi and Muki) takes aim at these one dimensional stereotypes of docility that disenfranchise young Asian women like her.

So to say I am looking forward to LÂLKA’s debut EP would be an understatement, because I am absolutely hyped and cannot wait to see else she has to offer when the five-track EP drops in March.
