Liza Owen is a Pop artist and coming off the release of her hugely popular “Why Aren’t We Having Sex?” earlier in 2020, the Los Angeles native has returned with her follow up single “Getting Good”, a song that tells the story of story of self-destruction and the lengths we go to leading ourselves down the wrong paths, while touching on the dualities that live inside all of us.

Taking a DIY approach to her songwriting, Liza offers a stripped back, acoustic setting for her newest single, which sees Liza showcase her vocals at the forefront of a project that doesn’t skim on the guitar-driven instrumental setting of her world.

Speaking on the release of the single, Liza explains that this song is really about self destruction and recognising that sometimes we’re all a bit lost. “It’s kind of a dark song,” she continues, “but there’s also a weird sense of empowerment in just owning that darker side of yourself and all your floors.”
