I had the opportunity to write about British pop artist Beth Macari previously with the releases of her singles ‘Boy‘ and ‘Clone‘, however, today sees the release of her brand new piano-heavy anthem titled ‘One More Time‘, a song essentially about losing someone in your life.

“It was the most emotional I have ever been in a studio. I am used to writing sassy songs, so recording this was a different vibe altogether.”

Speaking on the personal inspiration, Beth explains how “it happened really quickly,” she “had all this sadness inside of” her and she “just needed to release” it.

If you listen closely you can hear Beth’s “voice crack in the drop down chorus, that was me holding back some tears,” Beth adds.

“I wanted this to be real and a reflection of where I was at when I wrote it. ‘One More Time’ is for anyone who has lost someone, there is no worse feeling.”

Speaking on why she wanted to release the single, Beth explained to Eat This Music how in her “opinion, losing someone you love is the hardest and most painful feeling there is.”

“I have so many amazing people in my life that I am petrified at the thought of ever losing.”

“This song for me is a way of preparing myself for that, and its for anyone who has already been through the heartache of losing someone,” Beth concludes.
