Today Sydney indie artist Moody Beach has released a first taste of what’s to cone off her sophomore EP with her brand new single ‘Slave‘, a song about objectification, explains Moody Beach.
Speaking on the release of ‘Slave’ and her forthcoming EP ‘Mirage‘, Moody Beach explains how when “it comes to music” she is “not scared to experiment with genres.”
“‘Mirage’, is a collection of all my favourite sounds. Pop to shoegaze, flamenco to dark-wave – all fitting together in a sonic loop.”
Offering an indulging mix of industrial sounds, pop, electronica and dream-like vocals; that also explore “ownership and agency.”
“It’s [Slave] a tango of power and control shrouded in dark synth vibes”, Moody Beach concludes.
After having showcased a solid performance with Moody Beach’s debut EP in 2017, the Sydney-sider’s forthcoming follow-up is one to watch and listen out for.
