Here is a cool little jam from California-based indie rockers Valley Queen.
Following on from the release of their previous hit single ‘Boiling Water‘ and coming off the release of their forthcoming album ‘Supergiant‘ – due for release June 28 in Australia; out now everywhere else – the three-piece out of Los Angeles have put tother a tightly tuned single titled ‘Silver Tongue‘, that sounds like somewhat of a mix between sunshine grunge and pop with added guitar solos and long instrumentals.
Speaking on the creation of Supergiant, Valley Queen’s front woman Natalie explains how the album has the over-arching story of self-exploration, not just as an individual but also as a collective whole.
“It can be really painful and isolating to go through something that doesn’t really look like anybody else’s experience but your own.”
“But ultimately that’s part of the beautiful orchestration of being alive—instead of trying to go around that experience you need to go fully into it. I think that’s the only way to get a deeper understanding of who we really are,” Natalie concludes.
