Following on from the release of her 2018 hit ‘Out of Breath‘, New York-based pop artist LYYN has returned with ‘Our Place‘, a song that essentially explores the cleaning process of moving on in relationships.
Speaking on the story of the single, LYYN explains how while “nothing ever lasts quite as long as a memory,” she wanted “to guide listeners on an intimate tour through” her own “vision of New York,” where “a simple street corner sets the stage for thrilling romance or crushing heartbreak.”
“It’s bittersweet to witness how quickly favorite spots come and go because they remind me how much we’re capable of changing over time.”
“This song is about the cleansing process of moving on and how finding solace in the sentimental can make you feel human again,” LYYN concludes.
‘Our Place’ showcases a big atmosphere and large atmosphere for LYYN to showcase her fantastic, large vocal range all within this nearly four minute long pop anthem.
LYYN’s ‘Our Place’ is the second taste of what’s to come off LYYN’s forthcoming debut EP – due out for release in 2020 – and is now available for purchase and streaming on digital streaming platforms.
