Which are your guilty pleasure songs?
We don’t really feel guilty about any songs we like – we LOVE good pop music and we idolise artists like Spice Girls, Britney Spears, Celine Dion, Whitney Houston and many more. We don’t think people should feel guilty about listening to any music they like <3
Which songs would you have liked to feature on?
This might be a little weird, but we would have loved to be featured on the Getz/Gilberto album from 1964! We love that album and we always listen to it whenever we’re cooking together, chilling in the sun or just need some nice music to calm us down. We can sing every song on that album, including the solos.
What keeps you all making music?
The unity and connection we feel in our treifoil is essentiel for us in the way we make music in Ida Red. We know each other like we were sisters and we share every thing with each other; heart- ache, anxiety, thoughts, feelings, doubts and concerns – EVERYTHING.
We know probably this might sound romanticised and like something every band would say, but the way we share everything is very sincere and special, an there’s really nothing we can’t talk about with each other.
It’s very important for us to have a mental and emotional connection with each other to be able to keep an honest and authentic approach to our artistic work and in the way we collaborate. That’s the essence of motivation for us; that we feel connected and that we respect and cherish each other deeply.
We want to share this way of working through our music and show people that love and business can be combined by the way we approach our work, music and relationship in Ida Red.
We believe that through love and communication we create the most safe and loving space for us to be human and artistic at the same time and we genuinely feel inspiration flourishes when we’re connected to each other mentally and emotionally, and that is what keeps us motivated to keep making and sharing our music through love and connection with each other and our fans.
