Back in 2015 Los Angeles-based singer/songwriter Miya Folick released one of my favourite tracks titled ‘I Got Drunk‘, since the release of the Strange Darling EP, Miya has gone on to release numerous other tracks and a follow up EP in 2017 titled ‘Give It To Me‘.
Today sees the release of the second taste of what’s to come off her highly anticipated debut LP. “Stock Image” is the new single and it is essentially about “the conversation you have with yourself when you’re feeling lost and your color has faded,” explains Miya.
“When you’re too focused on inhabiting a certain image and then suddenly you realize your insides are empty, that you’re just a frame.”
“I wrote it from a place of feeling shallow and gray and wanting to feel Full! Deep! Vibrant! I hope it makes you feel lush and colored in,” Miya concludes.
Having already given fans a taste of her new music with the release of ‘Deadbody‘, Miya seems to have returned in fine form with more music yet to come.
